Epic

Her desire was a secret. His desire was a child. His desire was another woman. Her desire was him.  His desire was his clan. Her desire was the Salva. His desire was his oath. Her desire was not her son. His desire was not his blind. Her desire was not fear. His desire was not pale. Her desire was a test. His desire was life. Her desire was love. His desire was the eighth child. Her desire was her eight children. His desire was his son’s life. Her desire was to touch his feet. His desire was the Gokul. Her desire was motherhood. His desire was Radha. Her desire was his flute. Her desire was being next to him. His desire was strategy. His desire was destruction. Her desire was penance. His desire was power. His desire was celibacy. His desire was the Gurukul. His desire was dharma. His desire was strength. His desire was bow and arrow. His desire was wicked. His desire was vile. His desire was devotion to elder brother. His desire was friendship. Their desire was the dice. His desire was the kingdom. Their desire was justice. Her desire was war. His desire was the Gita!

Thus implored the epic tale of the great land that started and ended with desire. Such is the power of desire that flies like a feather in the mind, falls like a flower at your feet and grows like a nail, very neat.

Note – If you are familiar with the mighty Indian epic ‘The Mahabharata’, go ahead and start guessing the  characters and have fun!

Prompt – this blog post is my response to ‘The Daily Post’ ‘s prompt Desire
